PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Tri-City... Powered up for 50 years!

Jack A. Olmstead, President,
Tri-City Electrical Contractors

The word is out! Tri-City is celebrating 50 years in 2008. My friends and associates in the industry and business community often ask me the secret of our success. There are many ingredients to our recipe for success: the culture established by Buddy Eidel early in the life of the company emphasizing craftsmanship and honest business practices, proper planning, recognizing trends in building, aligning ourselves with quality customers and vendors, and acquiring the resources necessary to do our job. The secret ingredient to our success, however, is not so secret: our employees and their dedication to providing quality work. But don’t take my word for it (I am very biased in my opinion of our employees because I witness their hard work every day!). In every Wattsline, we share what our clients have to say about our employees. The following is just a small sample from this issue and past.

Will Sneed from The John Hardy Group praises Ft. Myers Service Department Manager John Rieselman: “His commitment to the quality of the work, the attention to detail and overall dedication to the various projects should be recognized and commended.” H. J. High Construction Company gives Project Manager Kevin Neal and Superintendent Mark Prive high marks on “degree of excellence” and “professionalism.”

Winter Park Construction commended Multi-Family Project Manager Danny Chapman, calling him “one of the most hard working, conscientious and service-oriented project managers” with whom they had ever worked. Goehring and Morgan Construction, Inc. complimented three of our long-term residential employees by saying that “Ron Hovel, Paul Christian and Randy Bainbridge have shown great dedication and concern” for Goehring and Morgan’s jobs.

Senior Project Manager Jeff Fillmore, Superintendent Eddie Quick and Area Foreman Carl Boyette from our Tampa Division received high praise from Matthews Construction for their work on the Sabal 330 project: “JOB WELL DONE. Each stepped up to the challenges presented to them and have shown excellent leadership and professionalism throughout this project.”

The engineering director at Westgate Vacation Villas, one of the largest vacation ownership communities in Central Florida, said the following about one of our outstanding service supervisors: “I want to commend the work of Doug Clark. He is very good at what he does and I have confidence in what he tells me is right. I must say he represents your company well.”

Florida Hospital recognized two Tri-City employees, David Sweat and Rafael Tavarez: “Dave & RT truly embodied your company’s philosophy ‘To do more than expected….’ Their knowledge and expertise was always available to us and they always went above and beyond the call of duty.”

So, there you have it. The not-so-secret ingredient for our success? Our hard working Tri-City employees, who are out there performing every day!

Respectfully,

Jack A. Olmstead, President
